Mindfulness for the Rest of Us

We’ve all heard about this thing called “mindfulness” — it’s the latest buzzword in psychology that’s picked up a lot of steam in the past decade. In short, it’s a set of skills that you can learn to help you be more in the moment, every moment, of your life. Rather than the fractured, dazzled, attention-challenged person so many of us feel like we are.

While I’d love to offer a course in mindfulness, its not in my specialty wheelhouse. So I’m happy to do the next best thing… Offer you a course by one of our bloggers who’s been with us since the beginning of our blog network, Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D.

You may recognize Elisha as the psychologist blogger over at his Mindfulness and Psychotherapy blog, a blog he started writing back in 2009. Over the many years that I’ve known him, he’s become one of the leading experts and proponents in mindfulness training. We are lucky to have him!

The cool thing is that Elisha is starting a 6-month course in October to teach you everything you need to learn about mindfulness and to put it into practice in your daily life. The course is called, fittingly enough, A Course in Mindful Living. In addition to being a great psychologist and blogger, Elisha is also the co-founder of The Center for Mindful Living in Los Angeles. He is the author of multiple books including Uncovering Happiness and The Now Effect, and he is co-author of MBSR Every Day and A Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook (with a foreword by Jon Kabat-Zinn).

Elisha created A Course in Mindful Living to provide a unique approach to mindfulness training. In this course, you’ll find a highly unique and interesting learning experience that includes:

  • A 6-month curriculum that’s progressive, allowing you to build on the skills that you’re developing over time, with special “deepening” activities to take these skills off the cushion and into daily life
  • On-demand access to a membership website so you can engage with the practices and experiential exercises anytime, anywhere
  • A monthly live and interactive 60-minute Q&R session with Elisha
  • A live monthly video breakout session lead by a member of the faculty where you’ll meet with a smaller group of people to receive more individualized attention and dive deeper into that month’s topic
  • An optional peer-based Accountability Pod to support you throughout the 6-month journey
  • Frequent and fun invitations to interact with the community to build connection and learn from one another
  • 18.5 continuing education credits for psychotherapists, social workers, and nurses

Elisha’s research has shown that an enhanced learning environment with an emphasis on real human support is essential if you hope to experience lasting positive brain change and he has brought all of these elements together in this life-changing course.

In addition, you’ll get bonus video interviews with leading mindfulness experts, including: Dan Siegel, MD, Rick Hanson, PhD, Sharon Salzberg, Kristen Neff, PhD, Christine Carter, PhD, Jim Doty, MD, Ellen Langer, PhD, Byron Katie, Dan Harris, and Pilar Gerasimo.

Graduates will receive a certificate of completion from The Center for Mindful Living (and psychotherapists, social workers, and nurses can also receive continuing education credits).

You can save $70 if you enroll now during the Fall promotion but don’t delay because enrollment is limited (a mentorship program that’s personalized in this way requires a cap on the number of people that can take the course at any one time). This discount expires September 19, 2017.

In just a short few weeks, beginning on October 2nd, over 200 people from all over the world will begin what others have already found to be one of the most transformative experiences of a lifetime. If you want to learn mindfulness and put it to work in your life, I strongly urge you to consider taking this course. Learn more and sign-up today!
